The construction of the world’s largest ozonation unit, located at the Jean-R.-Marcotte Wastewater Treatment Plant in Montreal, was entrusted to the construction company Pomerleau. In partnership with them and the water and sewer product distributor Réal Huot, Can-Aqua International is proud to have contributed to this project by supplying and distributing Zurn frames and grates for the installation of cast-in-place concrete channels.
Zurn channel frames offer a range of undeniable advantages. Their 10-foot length, significantly longer than the industry average, allows for covering more ground with fewer components, considerably reducing the time and resources required for installation while ensuring a straight and precise fit.
Additionally, the frames feature double anchors every twelve inches, providing a robust installation that withstands dynamic loading. By locking the frames into concrete, maximum stability is ensured even under heavy loads, such as vehicles or other equipment.
To meet all specific project requirements, Zurn offers a variety of frames with different finishes, including painted steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. The corresponding grates are equally versatile and durable, available in multiple finishes (ductile iron, galvanized ductile iron, stainless steel) and classes (A to F) to meet industry standards.
